We are pleased to announce that the year of 2011 will mark the 150th anniversary of the presence of our sisters in the Diocese of Buffalo. We come to this time of remembrance and celebration with thankful hearts for the many ways God has inspired, directed and sustained us and blessed our many endeavors over these 150 years.
Little did our first sisters who arrived from Philadelphia in December 1861 realize that many works of mercy and charity would come from their generous dedication. Since that time the work of our sisters has been monumental in serving the needs of others through healthcare, education, care of the elderly and orphans, parish ministry, service to immigrants and refugees, missions, care of the environment and social ministries. This is indeed something to be celebrated!
